Hey all, today I replaced my formed hose on the RXT (the old one had split almost in two). However, I noticed that there was a good deal of what seemed like oil on the nearby hoses, presumably blown out of the ruptured hose onto nearby hoses. This was not a lot of oil, to begin with, but looked as if it had been spewed out in relatively small quantities. Also, it did not simply wipe off with a rag, but required a dewaxer/degreaser in small amounts to actually remove the oil (if that is what the stuff was).
Any thoughts? Should the oil have sprayed out of that ruptured formed hose (it goes between the supercharger and the throttle body)? Any problem with longevity on the hoses now that they had petroleum (possibly) and now dewaxer/degreaser on them?
Thanks for the help, as always. Hope you guys are all doing well.
Jeff
