Seadoo 1999 speedster jet boat two stroke

Hi when refitting the oil pump how does this line up with the motor do you have to turn the oil pump rear Assembly to slot into the motor ?

there is a small driveshaft for the oil pump that engages the flywheel with a small recess in it that matches the oil pump shaft. Turn the oil pump shaft to line up with the recess, and bolt it up to the flywheel cover.

Alternatively you could turn the motor over to turn the shaft, but turning the pump shaft is much easier.
