Oil Pump Lines

Have finally got the toy running,and have noticed a small (very slight) leak on one of the VROI lines on the top of the oil pump.
My guess is that the little steel clamp isnt doing its job any more, the lines are all still nice and soft.

Is it OK to just use cable ties on these fittings?
My thought was i would cut off the little steel bit and reset the line with a cable tie.

As long as the oil hose is in good shape then the zip tie will do just fine.
