Oil pressure or oil level sensor?

On my 1997 Seadoo GSI, it has an odd looking switch or sensor in the tank that appears to have a roller on the bottom. I was wondering how that works as I am converting the OEM (broken) Digital display gauge to two marine analog gauges. One has an oil pressure meter which I would like to use but cannot figure out on this model where or how to install a sensor or if the existing sensor in the oil tank will give me a value that works. Thanks for any tips.

No oil pressure on these skis. You have an oil level switch on the oil tank that is either open or closed. The fuel baffle is linear resistance. I'd go for fuel level, oil light and water temperature which is probably measured in the MPEM which turns the light on and the beeper at a certain temp. I like what you are doing. I've been considering gauge alternatives myself. Post up how the job goes along. Good Luck.
