oil injection nipple

I am changing the oil lines on a 96 GTI 720. The factory lines are clamped on with what appears to be a piece of metal with two tabs on each side. I don't remember my other ski having this type of clamp. However, I do remember these nipples are delicate and will break easily. Without having a picture do you know what I am talking about? What is the best way to get this off without breaking the nipple?

Just pull on the rubber hose they will come off with it.
Use small good quality zip ties on the new hose.

For anyone reading this in the future... These clamps do pull off pretty easily, but the first one I tried would not come off. I pried and did everything I could think of. Ended up using a dremel to cut it off. With it being clamped on, it left a tab that you can cut without hitting the nipple.

Just saw your message mikidymac. I had one of those clamps to whoever put it on at the factory was highly motivated. He/she went over board with the crimping tool

If you squeeze the ears that stick out together towards each other with needle nose pliers it will loosen them too.

I tried that and was worried I would break the nipple. oh well, I got it now, I need to stop being so scared of breaking it. I cant handle waiting for parts anymore LOL. Got all of the oil lines completed, fuel lines and valve completed, carbs synchronized (PITA), oil pump synchronized a touch rich, oil drained and filter replaced, and fuel drained w/new fuel filters. Just need fresh gas so I can crank it over and bleed the oil lines and ensure the carbs are sucking fuel. Think I will pull the reverse gate and steering nozzle to change the bearing oil before starting. My luck it would have drained out and I would start it dry burning up the bearing. Thank you guys again for your help throughout this little project. Hopefully this will make for a good running ski

Yea, always release the crimp before pulling on the oil line
