Hi all I just did my first oil change on my 2016 seadoo wake pro 215 aka gtx body.( bought it used so first time I’ve been the one to do it). When I put the oil filter cover back on it’s as tight as it will go but still has a small gap between the top and the housing where you can see the top o ring. I have tried to redo it a dozen times even without the filter just to see if it fit would never actually run it without but still no joy. Any tips or ticks? Maybe I’m wrong but don’t think this is how it should be. Thanks y’all.

That is normal, it looks wrong but it isn’t. Torque to specs and your good to go. My bimmer has a top mount oil filter housing and it’s the same way.

Thanks after literally hours of trying all different things I took off all the o rings and put it on and then realized it would just be metal on metal so must need the small one as the barrier and seeing it was tight with the bolts should be good. But it just does not look normal seeing a ring on top so figured I’d reach out. Thanks!
