no start

i have a 02 gti hade problems with it after running for a long time would not start,would just let it sit for about 15min minutes and it would be fine and after about an hour it would do the samething. now it wont start at all had to guys look at it and said it was the computer, order a computer online new had the key reprogram and still no spark,the guys who check it said the coil was fine that it ohm out ok would like to recheck coil dont know what ohms should be and any other sugg. would be helpful.

Consult your '02 shop manual wire diagram/wire color code and check the stator out-put signals.
