newbie with questions...

I hope this is the correct part of the forum to post this on but I just wanted to say hello and what a great resource you guys have here.
Well I am very new to PWCs and am looking to buy a used one.

I actually found one locally in CT. The guy is actually selling 2 of them together with a double trailer.
They are both 1997 with about 100 hours on each he says. Is there a way to verify this?
One is an XP( yellow) and the other is a GSi(White with Blue). Both say rotax marine on them and Bombardier.
He is asking 4800 for all.

Any help would be appreciated with what to look for when buying these things. Are the models listed good? Any problem areas? What about the price?

On the back of the ski is a Vin plate. The last two numbers are the year made. On the top of the Magnito houseing is a plate that states the motor size. Bills86e
