I have the Seadoo "fill with rocks" anchor for my ski but was wondering if anyone carrys a regular anchor with them for resting in a cove close to shore? I don't like the idea of beaching my new ski and like to anchor it instead. My concern or question is it a problem carrying a 10 pound anchor under the hood?

For calm water,Take a good strong handled, plastic bucket.Fill it with wet sand or rocks etc. and use that as the anchor.Won't work in a hurricane but will in calm conditions.

I use the folding grapple type anchor in a padded bag. Works well for me...add a 4' bungie between the hook and the bouy...in addition to 5' line exsisting...it'll absorb most wave action w/o moving the anchor off the bottom.
