Newbie question about bilge pump!

Hi,

I am now a new owner of my first Boat and its a Seadoo. I've been reading through this forum for days now getting my 1996 seadoo challenger ready for a water test, I just want to make sure everything is working before launch. Only thing I'm not sure of right now is if my bilge pump is really working. When I hit the manual switch I hear a vibration noise, and not sure if that means it's working properly or not. Can I run some water into my boat to test it? Any assistance or knowledge would greatly be appreciated.

Sure... if you want to really test the pump... put some water in the hull, and see if it pumps it out. If you do it on the trailer... just pull the rear plugs, and tip the nose up to drain the rest of the water after you are done.

Thank you Dr Honda, tested it and looks like it works fine. Sure is a lot to learn.
