Newbie needs gauge help!

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to the Sea Doo scene and have recently aquired a challenger 1800 with a Mercury V6 from 2004.

I have a problem that the tacho and the speedo do not work. I have checked the speedo paddle for a signal with a meter and got a response.

Any idea's how to check the gauge?

Also, how can I check the tacho?..

I don't have access to any donor parts.

Also, the part numbers are 204470807 for the tacho and 20470805 for the speedo. Do you know if any other sea doo gauges will work?....I know these two have been superceeded, but there are none on ebay, but lot's of others. But I'm not sure it they will fit!

Any help would be greatly appreciated to aid my return to the water!

I am having the same issue, looked all over this forum, and so are alot of other guys. No one seems to have an answer, and I am not good with electronics. Did you figure it out yet? Anyone in here that can help us? Thanks. Rick
