Hello all!! I am new to the Forum and have spent hours reading many posts that are similar to my issues but have not found the solution. I have a 1995 Sea Doo GTX that I was given to get running for my kids to abuse. Last year I pulled the motor and found the cylinders had froze and cracked the sides on both, so long story short I rebuilt the entire engine. Redid the jet pump, carbs etc...it fired and ran great all last year.
This year pulled out DE-winterized and started up....within two minutes the beeper "beeped" twice and shutdown, and this could be reproduced every time. So the troubleshooting began, read post after post on many different sites.
-Replaced battery with new, verified post continuity (non DES), cleaned all grounds, even ran new ones and verified, checked start/stop button (even tho unit doesn't beep when able to shut down with it), pulled red wire from regulator, verified stator readings good, cleaned carbs again, verified that not a fuel problem...can disconnect black red wire from mpem to coil and system continually gives two beeps, but engine continues to run. Temp light flashes with the beeps when this happens. Voltage when running is above 13vdc. So i decided to buy a new mpem and regulator, installed both with results being the same. I have disconnected all gauges, fuel sensor etc to verify nothing else causing, but all with same results. The engine will run average between five seconds to 30, happens out of the water and in the water. It seems the mpem is resetting or losing power so I ran a power wire to battery to new mpem, also verified voltage never fluctuated. So prior to buying a stator assy I thought I would I would ask for any more advice. thanks to all that have posted prior, and those who have answered prior. I have usually found the information on these sites without ever asking.
