Got the boat back in the spring. It was mechanically in good shape when I bought it but cosmetically, less than great. I thought id just end up cleaning and buffing the boat but once I got into it I ended up completely replacing the interior, buffing out the boat and replacing the radio and speakers. Finally finished up everything just before August started and have started to use it at the lake. While I didnt plan on doing this much work to it, im glad i did.
Its a great little boat and fun to drive. My kids enjoy the fact they can tube off of it. I have gotten a bunch of info off of here (thanks) but this is my first post.

what did you do for interior? Last time i looked seat covers for these boats were N/A. Just wondering what you did because my challenger needs interior work as well, espically the 3 back seats

I bought the covers from: www.seadooupholstery.com

Keith is the guy you will talk with. He makes them himself and does a great job at it. The price is (IMO) great and he will make you whatever piece you want. If your at all handy you will be able to do this. I did have to buy a pneumatic stapler.....Cant do the job with out one......but it was short money on Amazon.....same place i got the monel staples.

It took a little while to get done. I was in no rush so i did a few each night. You will need to remove the cushions from the boat, strip off the existing vinyl and he will send you just the covers to replace them with. The white that he sends (4 way stretch material) is very easy to work with. The color material is a bit tougher but still doable. He suggests using a heat gun to help with the stretching. Before i did each cover i put the new vinyl in the dryer for a few minutes and that helped a bunch.......made it much easier to work with.
I wish i had taken some before pictures to compare but the final product came out great. You might hear that the seat back and base is a pain to get out......just takes a little time.....dont be in a rush.
