RESTO new ss impeller pitted??

Just received my skat trak swirl 140/75 impeller and noticed there is some pitting. I shouldnt expect that from a new impeller sent from impros correct?
 
Can you post a pic of it? Was it new or rebuilt? I'm sure it won't affect performance anyway. Skat Trak impellers don't have that mirror finish like the new Solas props do.
 
Yeah I think it's new. The pitting is from where it was welded there. Not perfect but they are hand made. Impros changes pitch for customers a lot so they may have made the 16/21 into what you ordered.

I called skat-trak and they asked if the inside of the hub had grease residue, then it could have been used. That along with the pitting made me think it was refurbished. I will say tho, impros (david) was more than helpful and their customer service is excellent.
 
Yes that’s a refurbished from Impros and is why I will never do business with them. It took them 3 tries to refurbish mine and they sent it to me like that and I made them fix it. That “pitting” is actually from cavitation burning away the stainless steel when air bubbles implode. It should be welded and machined smooth.

I only send my impellers to Skat-Trak now. Ask for Glenn.
