There are so many things that could be wrong with a new install. First, do you know if the magneto is any good? Is the CDI/ignition coil good, is it getting voltage? Are you getting voltage out when the engine is turning. Have you checked your wiring. Is the MPEM wired correctly? Are all the ground connections solid? Are all the fuses good? Do you have the spark plugs wired correctly?
You just have to start at the magneto and work your way forward to the spark plugs. Check everything, it is not a complicated circuit. There are two coils on the magneto. One for ignition and one for charging. The Magneto sends AC voltage to the ignition coil/CDI circuit. This ignition coil builds up 40,000 volts and under control of the CDI sends a spark to the plugs.
