Hey y'all. My name is Logan and I'm from the MS gulf coast. I'm currently attending school at Ole Miss chasing a B.S. In Biology. Yesterday I picked up my first ski, a 1999 Seadoo XP. It has some issues, but I'm hoping to get them sorted through and have it in the water before too long. The man I got it from said his tractor mechanic thinks the bottom end is making some noise and it needs a new start switch. At $300 though I couldn't pass it up. The outside is slightly oxidized, nothing some compound and the buffer can't handle, and the inside looks very clean. I haven't had a chance to do a compression test yet due to the button issue, and won't know about the bottom end until I can get that addressed. It appears to have the oil tank deleted. I hooked the jump box to the leads yesterday, got no beep like I was expecting, but everything else (bilge, gauges) seemed to be functioning except the start button (no solenoid clicking). Im not too familiar with PWCs, but do have a fair amount of experience with outboards and inboards, and lots with ATVs and autos. This is my first 2-stroke. Here's some pics for now.
