new engine

thanks for the reply only problem with SBT is I don't have a core.
My so called professional mechanic has seemed to lost some parts.:banghead:
This ski has been laid up in his shop for over 3 months now so its time for me to just buy a new motor and let the judge settle the difference.I didn't go with SBT in the first place because I wanted to keep my original cases and cylnders.I would prefer to put in a new set of cases If I could find them.I see seadoo warehouse has them but I cant find a physical address or phone no. IT is just very frustrating to have some putz screw ya over like this after you have babied this ski since new.

Ya, sorry to hear that. That really sucks! I forgot about the Core return part. There was another shop that was a little pricier but maybe they don't require a core, not sure. Can't recall the name but search the forums here I know it's around one of the engine discussions I read....

Anyway, good luck.

There is a few places that does rebuilds, but all of the ones I know require a core. I would try to find a ski or boat on craigslist with a blown engine and try to pick it up really cheap. You could use the engine for the core and part out the rest and probably make money.
