Need to prime the gas lines?!

I pulled all of the bad/old gas out of my 97 Seadoo GSX by way of pressurizing the tank from the fill point at the outside/top of the ski (where you fill it up), which emptied the fuel through the fuel line from the tank, which I disconnected up top at the filter under the steering, allowing it to dump into a bucket

The question is.....

After I hook the 2 fuel lines back to the filter (one in and one out), do I need to fill these fuel lines, and the filter possibly, back up with fuel in order to get it running????

Because there is no fuel pump on this ski, sp I am wondering if this is gravity/vacuum fed, and by having air in the lines it will not pull the gas through??????

Because now my jet ski wont start, and It sounds like its outa fuel (its not!) She cranks over and I got new plugs, I just dont think fuel is making it through

Could this be the problem I am thinking?!??!? Do I need to prime these lines and filter?

There is a fuel pump on that ski. I had two of them. It is located on the MAG side carbureator. Sounds like you screwed up a check valve somewhere along the fuel system. You'll need to check all of them out for prober function.

Put a little pre-mix fuel in cylinders and a little in the fogging plug hole on airbox.
It should start and run after priming.

On a ski... it should only take a few seconds of cranking to get it to start.

I just cleared out a boat fuel system, and it started in 5 to 8 seconds of cranking. (it has much longer lines than your ski)

But as said above... if you are having an issue with it, pour a little pre-mixed fuel in the carbs. It will fire, and draw fuel.
