Need Help... Plz Read

I am in desperate need of a choke cable for a 1992 SeaDoo XP. It seems that this cable has been rendered obsolete by the manufacturer.

If anyone has one for sale or knows of a cable that will cross-over, plz let me know.

Autozone and the likes sell an aftermarket car choke cable which will do just as well
will be well long enough to reach

If I was to go this way, how long is the cable between the end of the plastic cable housing and the end of the cable itself where it attaches to the cable rod on the carbs? Also, how does the cable attach to the carb rod?

My cable has broke at the end of the cable itself and theres no attach ment/point on the carb rod. I'm a little confused as to how they attched to eachother.

Carb rod is the end of the choke cable
so the new car choke cable will be a solid thin rod as apossed to a cable and you simply undo the small allen head fitiings in the brass lugs on the choke levers and the old rod will slide out and slide the new one in

the allen bolts are very very small be careful you don't drop em
or you;ll still be looking for them this time next week !!!

What you ought to do is just install a primer in place of the choke. Makes for easier starts compared to a choke and primer kits are always available for fairly cheap.

GO with the primer kit, $30 ebay, take 5min to install, pump it a couple times and its play time, out with the old and in with the new

not for nothing, got to be a reason there is not a primer in place of the choke.....I have personally used the automotive choke aftermarket cable on many old cars....and to see someone bring that up as something to use was pretty neat thinking....it would work great, I just do not know if it is stainless or not.

Thanks you for all your support and ideas. I ended up finding a cable on EBay, but if it breaks again, I'll prob install the primer.
