need help!....hard start on left engine then dies!

i am having issues on my left engine,...it will have a hard time starting hot or cold...it takes several tries and then sometimes need help of throttle at half...then will not idle...id i try to idle it will die...driver side engine is o.k.

any ideas, much appreciated...

If the compression is good, and the drive line is free... I'd say you have fuel system issues. (Time to clean the carbs)

do you think i should clean carbs out on both engines or just side i am having issues with....unless there is a more convenient way of doing it....also if i do it myself what chemical should i use?
