need help! gtx di won't run

hi i just bought a 2001 seadoo gtx di for cheep it has a rebuilt motor, the gauges power up, fuel pump comes on but it flashes maintence on the display and the motor wont turn over if i jump the starter it will turn over but thats it, the guy i bout it off of thought the computer is bad but if that if the case why does the display work. can anyone sugest anything

If it jump starts it will probably have a weak battery.
Not putting enough amps out.
Or bad solonoid / Relay.

Same thing happened with mine. We charged the battery and it turned over and started with no problems. For the next couple of weeks I kept it on a trickle charger but I plan on buying a new battery next year.

i tried the batt. put in a gell cell batt over 12v coming out of it and the computer isnt saying low volt which i know it can display,i think its more serious, the vts fuse keeps blowing eventhou my seadoo isnt equiped with it. im starting to think my computer is toast, how likely is it that my voltage regulator is bad or would that even afect starting?
