Hello all,

I am new to the forum and seriously looking for ideas here. I was at the lake yesterday for the first time with this ski. it ran nice, long enough for me to get out of the no wake zone, and up to 30MPH. At that time it fell flat on it face. DIED. I tried to start again, no luck. I choked it and it started, then DIED!! Not sure what to do. I checked fuel lines and all are clear. I took line from canister fuel filter to front carb off at carb, little bit of fuel came out. Is it possible to put in an inline fuel pump? Or is there somewhere else I should be looking? Any and ALL help will be greatly appreciated!! Thx, Chris...

Sounds like a problem we all have had with the older skis. Remove carbs and clean the microfilters. If you have grey fuel lines ...replace with new, the grey ones are junk and broken down.
I did this to me 97 spx and was shocked at the results...thanks to the guys on this forum!

Well after changing fuel lines, cleaning carbs, and taking to the lake again, it didnt work. Brought ski home, and found out that the H & L screws on carbs were all F'ed up. My L's were all the way in, backed out 3 turns and it is running like a CHAMP!!!!! Off to the lake again tomorrow. :hurray:
