Well Sunday was 91 and sunny with blue skies. Perfect day for see doing right? So I put them in I have an 89 and a 90 sp. Been having carb issues with the 89. So In goes the trailer. Fire them both up in the water open seats to look for leaks all good. Nice smooth idle juice the throtle and nice response all through the rpm range. Pissers pissing. Shut them down to take the off the trailer and park the truck. The 90 fires right back up the 89 gives me issues. Finally get it started and away we go. All is well about a 1/2 mile into the ride. Then after a no wake zone, the 89 starts acting up and stalls....won't resart. So I have to get towed by the 90 to the closest dock. Once at the dock the 90 quits running and won't restart. So I pull the lid and the 90 has water up to the bottom of the carb. I start freaking out as it has a rebuilt engine that hasn't even been broken in yet. So I get both skis back on the trailer and get them home. I start looking around and I see the pisser (tell tale) had popped off so I gues that fills a hull pretty fast. So I put in a new pisser on both skis and automatic bilge pumps on both skis yesterday. Oh and they both fire right up on the trailer. My theory on the 90: pisser popped off filled hull with water and some water splashed up into the air intake and stalled out the engine. Once I got the water out and the new pisser installed. The engine fired back up (Probably a little water in the carb). Hopefully I can ride them this week to see what their status is.
