Muffler Paint

Question... I am going to paint the muffler on my '97 GTX. How hot does the muffler get? Do I need to use a high temp paint or will any off the shelf work? I'm having difficulty finding high temp in the right color.

No, it doesn't get hot unless the cooling lines get blocked. Just standard spray paint is fine for the entire engine and exhaust.

I use engine enamel paint. Lasts and is corrosion and heat resistant
