Just a quick question. Modified 717 in a 97 SP... I wired this MSD ignition in, and the machine started. Problem is, no stop button, cant kill it with lanyard. Must pull wire to stator to shut it off. Realized it is blowing the inline fuse on the MSD.. But when the fuse is blown, it still runs..
So, why is the fuse on the black wire on the MSD? Shouldn't it be on the red Positive wire...
Why is it blowing a fuse?
When I had this MSD in the ebox, the rpm would go over 7300 on the trailer, but with the stock MPEM in, 5880.. However I think 7300 is when i let go. I think there is no rev limiter actually working on this MSD when the fuse is blown...
I have a microtouch i just removed.. it too would only rev to 5880 but probably because it is not for my year. I have a 1997 seadoo SP, but the Microtouch says 92-96 .. So I guess I will sell this also...
