mpem problem

thought i had bad mpem or key . when testing i got one long beep with key in . tried test mode ( 5 times start button one short one long beep ) got 2 short beeps ( cant reed key ) . noticed when switching belg pump got one short beep at times . found round 16 or 18 pin connector at mpem box in engine compartment had bad connection . cleaned pins and tada fixed . no mpem needed . hope this helps someone else . boat was sitting for approx 2 years .

I have the same issue can you post a picture of the 16-18 pin or indicate exactly where it is so I can clean mine, that is great news b/c I was just about to drive my boat into a dock. No just joking......kind of.

sorry no picks .... x-wife got camera .... i got boat :hurray: . in back of boat elect box with mpem , starter relays , fuses etc. big round connector .

OMG thank you that was my issue. The plug was dirty and not seated properly what a quick, easy and cheap fix. Thank you for the posting on this.
