So I decided to move forward with getting the 787 rebuilt by Full Bore. I am sure now that the failure was cause by rust (just like you said Mikidymac). I got the bottom end out of the ski today and once I got it up on the workbench under some good light, I could see how badly rusted the PTO side of the crank was. I a having a hard time believing that the entire failure was caused by the water ingestion episode I had. The exhaust manifold water leak was closest to the MAG cylinder yet it was the PTO cylinder that failed. I'm thinking the PO had a hand in this, mainly die to how badly rusted the crank is. And by the looks of the mag housing, there's been water in there as well and I've never submerged it But that's all water over the dam. I'll have a new engine next season and, hell, I don't know what else there is to rebuild now LOL.. Here's a pic of the engine ready to go to full bore

Oh, and does anyone have a complete air box for the 787 with all of the hardware they'd like to part with. I'm getting rid of those aftermarket flame arrestors
