More power

Hey..everyone I have a 2001 gtx RFI..I'm looking to make more power. It runs about 40mph across the water wide open. The ski works great but just would like to increase power and speed. The ski is all stock...Any suggestions would be awesome thanks in advance..

That ski should run 50mph on the GPS. Are you reading the speedometer on the ski for speed verification? If your gauges are working you should above 6800RPM at 6900 they are cookin. I love the RFI skis.

If you speed is 40 verified, you may have an issue with the Rave valves not opening or the Water Control Valve.

Thanks for the reply. My speedometer doesn't work I used my phone gps and max is 40 mph..my friend has the same ski but Carburetors and his gps reads 51 mph on his gps...

Yea you don't need speed mods you just need to get it running right. Check your compression with a good gauge first thing. That speed is usually where they ski is on the raves. Right below 5k RPM. Check that water control valve also, see if it is leaking.

You might also have a dirty or bad fuel injector. I'd pull them and send them out for cleaning and eliminate that as a potential problem. Good Luck with it !!.
