missing cap?

im looking to buy a 06 rxp looking at the motor I asked about a missing cap on the fuel rail and the seller told me it dosent have one as he asked the same thing when he bought it
is this true I googled more motors and saw more the same

plan to get it Saturday after a water test

That looks like the oil fill to me. Take a better look at it when you pick it up, see if the tube runs into the engine. If it was a fuel cap it would be small, like a shrader cap for example.

look to me like oil too but I was told its on the fuel rail

It's got nothing to do with the oil fill that is the yellow cap at the other end on the engine. There is nothing missing all the fuel rails look like that.

yip, mine looks exactly the same and yip, when I bought my ski my first thought was "where the hell is the cap for this"

thanks all my 07 has a different motor cover so you don't see this empty cap.

you probably still have the cover on yours, that's the first thing I popped off

noted that you are in Port Charlotte, I ride out of Laishley Marina and/or Harbor Heights pretty often, i'll shoot you a PM for your phone if you'd like to receive ride invites.

I Live in Cape Coral but the Harbor and the lower peace are favorites of mine during the rainy season, I tend to ignore PC during the dry season because of the shallow spots on the peace, but during the summer I get up that way at least once a month.
