Minor repair of upper deck

I recently put a small but deep cut on the side upper deck on my 2019 GTX 155. It’s thru to underlying foam caused by corner of dock. The material is colored thru and thru and appears to be something other than fiberglass. I am thinking about using dremel tool and cutting around edge to create undercut then fill with epoxy. Is there a better way to repair?

Marine Tex (epoxy) works great for minor hull repairs but it’s not a perfect bright white color match, but from 3 feet you can’t see it. Undercutting probable not necessary. Apply, sand, polish, done.

Thanks. Mine on upper deck is blue but a white undercoat would be good. Is there a good source for touch up paint for Seadoo? It’s a 2019 Blue. Is there a paint code on the Seadoo like a car would have?

Thanks for the info. I determined the upper deck was plastic and the epoxy I used (white) would never take paint to match the adjoining plastic. I used a 3/16 end mill in a drill and cut all the edges to about 90 degrees and on each end rounded the ends to not leave a place for a crack to develop. Same theory as stop drilling a crack in aluminum sheet metal. I then filled with epoxy. After finishing smooth placed a decal over but have decided to buy some glue on skid tread material and place on both sides for symmetry.
