max rpm on 01 rx

full throttle it seems i can only get my ski to about 5900 on flat is that normal i thought it should be higher

Far from an expert, but I borrowed my brothers 02 RX and flat out his runs at 6420rpm saw it say 6430 once or twice I think, but in smooth water it was pretty rock solid at 6420
