hey there new to seadoos and the website. i have broke manifold bolts on my 96 gtx twice this year. was wondering if anyone else has had issues with this. and what maybe causing it to occur. also what the effects of maybe puting a grade 8 bolt in to replace the broken ones.

thanks

2 things....

1) "grade 8" is an American thing. that's a metric engine. 12.5 are the "strong" bolts.

2) stainless doesn't use the same grading structure.

OK... Manifold. Exhaust or intake? If it's your exhaust... then you are making them too tight. If they are over tightend... when the manifold gets hot... it expands, and breaks the bolts.

If it's your intake... something is very wrong.

Oh... and don't replace them with stiffer bolts. Torque them to the proper spec, and use a high temp thread locker.
