Hi All,
New to the forum, and Jetski community.
I recently purchased a 2000 Seadoo GTX Millenium Edition with "164" hours on it. It's pretty sweet, took it out already 3x for 10 hours, all on Lake George, but this time around I decided to mix in Marine Sta-Bil because the gas I put in it contains ethanol (10%, can't find it anywhere).
Ran much smoother but then the next day, when I put my key in, Red indicator light below the display unit is solid red and says "MAINT".
It goes away after a minute or two and rides just fine. I only ran it for an hour or two after seeing that display. Brought it home, did some routine maintenance, and tested the key on it again.
Still same outcome, solid red maintenance light, which goes away after a minute or so.
Prior to this, the only thing I've changed was storage (I now keep it on a trickle charger) and adding the STA-BIL. --Any thoughts?
Honestly probably hard to tell from what I've told you, but my bigger question is how can I fix this? The few shops I've brought it to say they won't work on 2 strokes.
I live in the Greater NYC area of NJ and Westchester. I'm willing to travel within a 50-mile radius from NYC, does anyone know anyone who could help me out?
Thanks in advance.
