Maintenance Light Flashing When Powered Up

Hey guys, I'm having a flashing red light with "maint" flashing on the display only at power up. As soon as I put the key in I get 10 flashes and then it goes out and then my display comes on. Anyone have any ideas? I looked at some other threads and thought it might be a engine hour maintenance light but I did try to reset with both mode and reset buttons pushed at same time for 5 seconds and it didn't affect it. I haven't gotten in the water yet this year, I'm getting them ready for the lake this weekend and noticed it when I put key in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys....pete

I'm pretty sure it's just a reminder maint. light, and it can be turned off, the procedure is in the service manual. I don't have the manual for your model.

This may of may not work for your ski, for a 97GSX: "To clear the MAINT message, press the SET button for 2 seconds during the message blinking".
