I have what I believe is a 00 Seadoo Bombardier GSX. I was told that it ran, but they couldn’t find the DESS. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii where no one services Seadoo. Is there any way of getting and programming a DESS that isn’t more costly than the machine is worth? I could not find the hull number, but attached pictures of they will help identify year and model as I’m not positive. 5EF861A4-3118-43F6-8DCF-A314A71014E9.jpeg5C802F97-787D-4AB3-88B9-809C0D85D4CA.jpeg5C802F97-787D-4AB3-88B9-809C0D85D4CA.jpeg5EF861A4-3118-43F6-8DCF-A314A71014E9.jpeg

To answer your question, no, there’s no way to bypass the DESS.

Either buy a programmer like the CanDoo Pro or send the MPEM to Westside Powersports Seadoo to have a lanyard paired.

Engine appears to be a 787 and HIN looks like 00 and is white. So I am going to guess 2000 GSX RFI.

Before spending a dime or doing anything pull the gray cover off in your picture. Remove both spark plugs and see if you can turn the engine over by hand. If you can’t don’t waste your money.
