Hey all, had the pump just rebuilt. new solas 14/22 put in it .all new bearings seals etc done and a little polishing on the inside.. Got it to do 43 mph... it used to do 50 w/o all the work. What can you folks tell me about the carbon wear ring by the shaft coming out of the motor. it has 1/4 inch of slop. Also, the shaft has a 1/2 round groove in it. A 1/2 piece, or a letter "C" piece for the lack of better words, was in it. Shouldn't that piece be more bigger than that... Thinking that air is being sucked in somewhere in this area.. Put the pump on by the numbers and cant figure it out. ANY and ALL advise needed ang greatly appreciated... Thx... MH

came up on a 97gti, which had a 14/19 solas. I just installed a 14/22 solas in it, with new wearring, so i'll see how it goes. But when removing the 14/19, i noticed that the impellor itself was not locked/thread locked down, it spun right off the shaft...

But if you installed your impellor in any of those skis you got in your avatar, sounds like its a bit too much, but yet, i have yet to check either skattrak or solas sites, on your skis' application.

Alright , checked out the solas site, saw that for the 96gti, that pitchis called for.

The rpm's sound good, pulls out of the hole just like before, just lost the top end... 43 mph is plane ol not gona work. To change out the carbon ring does the shaft just pull out?

with same pitch impellor, mine was bag'n high 40's.

gonna need to pull the pump, to remove driveshaft.
