Loss of acceleration/top end

So i took my 98 GS , out the other day after i replaced the jet pump (took it out of gsx , wear ring is in good condition) I’m on it right now and it seems to lack acceleration and top end. Carb is brand new installed at a shop and fuel lines are not the grey ones. I can do a complete circle wot. Probably going like 30 mph i now it at least goes 45-50

Hey. How is the compression?

Also, make sure the fuel Selector valve is cleaned out. It’s also caused a restriction for fuel flow due to the gunk that builds up inside the fittings. I’ve seen several causing lean conditions and starving fuel.

Give us an idea from idle through full throttle.

I will check the compression in a few and get back to y’all. Other than that it’s doesn’t stay on. It doesn’t bog or anything like that, it just takes a while to get up to speed and when it’s at “top speed” it’s going lien 30-35
