I am in need of seats for 97 sportster. I believe that the seats from the speedster and the challenger around this age will also work. Condition of the seats is not important as long as they are still useable. Please message me.

I have to agree with Foster...seats are extremely hard to find!! I just bought a speedster200 and on the way home there was some crazy cross winds across the Tampa bridge....all of a sudden I see one of the seat cushions fly out of the boat!! After dropping off the boat I went back to see if I could find the seat, luckily I found it on the side of the highway but it was totally destroyed. The next day I called the local dealer to order one (Babbitts online had them listed for $175) they priced me $220 so I told them to order it, I get a call back 1 hour later...the dealer called BRP and found out they don't sell seats/ cushions anymore!! I tried bringing what I had to a local upholstery...the guy laughed when I walked through the door and said come back in 2 days!! He ended up calling me the next day, the seat was just as new and he only charged me $75!!

Anyway, sorry for the long story but if you have the original seats get them re-upholstered...if you don't have the original seats you may be SOL unless you find a guy parting out his boat.

Good luck..

Yeah if you have the seats to work with, it is much cheaper to recover them. A member here make great covers and you can find him at seadooupholstery.com

If you dont at least have cushions you are gonna spend a fortune.

thor.... That is the exact reason I only tow the boat with the cover on. Wat too many stories of people coming on here saying a cushion blew out.

Ya..I learned my lesson with that!! Funny thing is that I was coming down from Jacksonville FL and only 20 minutes from my condo is when I lost the seat!! lol

The boat came with a cover but not one I would leave on the boat while driving down the highway....could the original Seadoo covers be used while in transport??

i have 2 sets of rear seats for a 97 speedster/ sportster. one set is white and purple and the other set the tops is partially wrapped orange and grey, the bottom is just the plastic form, no vinyl or foam. i also have a few random cushions if interested. ill take pics if your serious about checking them out. lmk

I was lucky enough for find a back cushion for my 2000 speedster on ebay and on a local classifieds site, I found a full set of cushions (including arm rest) in mint shape.
