Hi everyone. I'm hoping for a sanity check before I start replacing parts.

I've got a 1994 GTX that will crank, but gets no spark. What I've done so far:
- tested the stop and kill switch according to the manual and they are ok.
- Disconnected the red/black wire from mpem (per a recommendation on someone else's post)
- limited test on ignition coil ( resistance through spark plug wires)
- tested mpem resistance per manual
- I see only one black wire from the battery to the starter. I expected to see a second ground wire but I can't find it anywhere. Is this normal for a 94? That's all the wiring diagram shows, but it seems strange to me for some reason.
- The measurements for some of the mpem pairs did not match what's in the manual. Does this automatically mean the mpem is bad?
- Is there anything else I should try?
