Im looking at 2 96 seadoo xp's on a double trailer that are for sale from a dealer becase they did work on them and the owner did not pay. they both are in ruff shape. They said one ran last year when they worked on it and had 150 in each cylinder. the other they do not know, they had it apart and think that the stator is bad but stopped working on it when the owner did not pay. its all there but the front of the motor is apart. Both skis the props look ok but there is wear that shows on the plastic ring around the prop. The catch is that when the guy didnt pay they let the skis sit out all winter without winterizing them. are they for sure junk if they were not winterized or is there a chance that the motors could be ok. I can get the 2 skis and a double bed karavan trailer for 1200.

there is $3000 or more worth of ebay parts in that deal. A new double trailer will cost more that $1200, and it is worth $600 on Craigslist.
As far as being junk... They can be rebuilt depending on your abilities.
The one that wasn't winterized... it could run with a battery charge, or it may need a full rebuild. It's hard to say. If the engine was full of water, and it froze, the jugs can be cracked, the pipe can be cracked, and the cooling hoses can be split.
For $1200... As long as they have clear titles... I would buy them.
