I replaced a starter for a friend on a 98 xp. Everything went fine on that. When he took it out the first time the engine compartment was filling with water. He said water was coming out the rubber hose which had come off one of the rave valves. Is it possible for water to come out of that hose. I understand its pressurizes but water?? I am not near the ski and do not know where that line connects to the engine/exhaust. I couldnt find anything in the service manual or other post. Thanks…

Btw the ski had been sitting for 3 years. Unknown if winterized.

No, water can't come out of those hoses.
More than likely he is talking about the water valve on the waterbox that looks like a rave valve.

Thanks for the reply. Haha my friend was way off. Someone had removed the exhaust hose and just set it back in place. That jet ski filled up fast!
Easy fix..for once. ;-))
