HI from New Zealand - guess you guys are getting out on yours as winter sets in here. I have a 2004 Sportster with 951DI engine. Has been going like a dream all summer (December to April here)
Went out for last wakeboard of the season and the boat seems to be in limp mode. Starts first touch and idles fine but when I give some throttle I get a loud single beep and revs wont pick up. Will run OKish on low revs with occasional beep. Speedo doesn't seem to go even with some speed up. I have been adding a little oil to the gas (95 octane and spec'd synthetic oil) as a suggested extra precaution - could fouling plugs be the cause - any other common causes for going into limp mode that I should check out?
