Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum?
I have a 2003 GTX 4 Tec and the last time I used it, it was going into what I call limp mode, no power but still idling.
I would shut the machine off, pull the key and then I would restart it and it would be fine for another 4 minutes.
Has anyone had this issue?
There were no codes and it was not over heating.
Thanks in advance.
Don

Hi to you from another new guy. I haven't experienced limp mode and hope I don't, but it is good to send a private message to one of the administrators, (hfgreg, seadoosnipe, or Joe Z). They are listed and have helped me a bunch. Please post a thread when you fix this problem because it will help somebody down the river. Good Luck, Tom

Hello, need more info from you.
Hours?
Oil used and last time changed?
Spark plug changed?
Was fuel additive added for storage?
Last maintaince done?

Spark plugs will fail at higher rpm acting like limp mode. It will still run but at low rpm.

Low oil pressure sensor will put ski into limp mode. If oil is a thin synthetic, then the oil pressure will not be enough for the sensors. Use only recommended oil.

The more info the more we can help.
