Last season mpem issue '92 XP/'93 XP

Would like to follow up on last season's issue with the mpem. I pulled one out of my parts 93 and put it in the '92 . The '93 had 8 wires and the '92 had 9 wires . It did settle the problem as far as that spark issue and ran awesome all last season, but I believe the rev limiter has become disabled somehow.

...I should probably look into finding the proper mpem for the '92 with the 9 wires...was just looking for that always needed second opinion from you pro's....

You could get the manual for the 92 and 93 and compare what that 9th wire was for. I know the wiring diagram for the 92 is on page 145, cant find my 93 manual at the moment.

Thanks for the response... I've got to be honest, I've never been good at electrical troubleshooting and what have you. I'm probably going to try to find someone who has the proper mpem for that year and switch it out...( that's the last thing I need is to have one of the kids smoke that motor on Lake Michigan because of the rev limiters not doing its thing!)
