Kill start

My 97 GTS stopped running at 2 very bad times, but started again eventually


Sometimes it wont turn over when I hit the button to start
And sometimes it wont turn off when I hit the button to stop

I feel its the kill button but I dont want to replace parts until its fixed
Do kill buttons malfunction on SeaDoos?

It is possible the start kill switch is not working properly. I would check the wire connections first, to see if it is corroded or a broken wire or something simple first.
