Hey guys, just took my 2003 gtx 4-tec out for the first ride and noticed a couple odd things..

Max speed verified by gps was 46 mph. Is that slower than normal? It was pulling 7400 rpms or so

Also, I have L temp and E temp.. Which reads what? They both stayed at 62 deg the whole time I ride but the engine was got to the touch after riding...

As far as the speed goes, I believe your machine at stock should be in the high 50's (57-58) for speed. I assume you have just the 4-Tec and not a supercharged 4-tec. Seadoo made 4 different GTX models that year.

Also, your RPM's may be a bit high. the first thing I would check is your wear ring. From what I understand, if you have a gap between the impeller and wear ring, you will loose speed and RPM's will be high.

Give that a shot and report back. Take photos and post if you have any doubts. I am sure with help from others here, you will be able to track down your problem.

Ohh well that makes sense being they were 2 degrees apart.. I need an owners manual for this thing...

As far as the impeller, I need to look into it, I only weigh 130 lbs so I figured it should go 50 something
