Just bought a 97 Gsx Limited for 200.00! .......

Because the motor is out of it and in a box. After doing some looking around I see that a white motor is about 900.00. However I see a lot of people saying you can use other motors. I am unable to find a parts list and years of engine that will work. The ski is in almost perfect shape I think it might be worth a shot to get it going again. Your comments and opinion would be great.

You can use any 800 engine in it. If you don't fix it... you can make good $$$$ selling the parts on ebay.

somebody told me you have to modify something to make a 800 engine fit? id rather just slam a motor in it and sell it as a running ski. its in like perfect shape.

97 GSx had an 800 from the factory. the GTi has a 720... and yes... it would take some mods to make it work.

Just realized... you have a limited. It has the 951 engine. (sorry)
