That could of been nasty.
I wonder if the trim just broke on itself.:confused:
 
Yeah I acan't say that I've ever seen this on any boat ever, but a failure of the trim system I guess could explain that. But thinking about it, how could a trim hydraulic failure do this ever? All I could think of is the valve breaking and instantly pressurizing the piston extending it to the max?
 
Did he go to reverse?

Years ago, I rode with a friend that had one of those 21 footer jet boats that had the big block 427 cubic inch engine and we were hauling a*% and he slammed it into reverse. It basically did the same thing that boat just did. I know I can't shift into neutral while at full speed, so I'll assume I can't shift into reverse from forward at full speed. So I wonder what happened here?....cool vid though!
 
It's easy to do that...full speed, then off the throttle and into reverse, then full throttle...works well when there are people in the front of the boat.

It's a wise idea to keep the bilge pump on when doing this though...
