OK... 3 models of Seadoo and I know I am keeping one for sure. I recently completed the partial resto of the 96SPX. I did the top end and it isn't broken in all they way yet, I am taking my good old time with it. I LOVE this ski. Got all the power I need for sure. Looks great but I need to do the seat.
I have a 1996 XP that is in the paint shop at present. I've gone through most of this ski and it is nice. My cousin and I rode this ski for a test ride last month, it was half-apart with everything hanging but it was really something to hang on to
!! It needs more cosmetic work but it is what I'd call a rocket compared to other skis I rode.
Then there is the 1998 XPL. I have not begun to work on this ski yet. It has some High performance stuff on it so I am told. I am not keeping all three skis and am not so much into speed as that would make it really simple. The 717 runs pretty darn good but I'm sure won't compare to the 787. How good is the XPL compared to the others? Also consider that perhaps the other two are good enough and the XPL may bring in more cash if sold. Thoughts input is appreciated.
