Jet Pump Rebuild Planned...

I'm going to start to rebuild my jet pump in a couple of weeks, and would like to know if anyone knows of all of the things I need to rebuild a (1996 Seadoo GTX) jet pump.

Well, what's wrong with yours? Is the impeller shot? Wear ring shot? Did water intrude into the inside?

Not sure, there's at times really bad cavitation/vibrations going over 2000RPMs and will loose power. But other times it's completely fine. The impeller has minor chips and dings.

Hopefully you can just file the edges of the impeller , then just get a new wear ring, and if the inside of the pump looks good with no water intrusion you could just reseal the pump (no bearing replacement) and refill the oil and you're good to go. But it the insides look worn or milky it's time to do it all, which isn't hard at all.

have a look at the through hull fitting on the drive shaft could be sucking air from the hull. be a good idea to replace also if needed wile your going to take stuff apart
